‘You have grown stronger.’ the voices told the girl.
‘Strong enough to continue this journey without us.’
“But I need you.” the girl replied.
“I can’t do this on my own.”
‘You are stronger than you think.’ the voices told her.
And with that they were gone.
The girl turned to Gastile and wept.
“They’re gone.” she cried.
Looking for a shoulder to cry on, she turned to Gastile.
“They’re gone.” she repeated as tears ran down her cheeks.
“Good this is for me. Bad this is for you.
I see no strength within you. Weak you are.”
Gastile responded.
The girl was shocked by this response.
Gastile whistled.
The Others arrived.
